Chateau Ste Michelle’s Gewurztraminer – $7 at Total Wine

I didn’t feel like making dinner at all last night, so I ordered pizza and popped open a bottle of wine. I mean, I earned it! I busted my ass on the Peloton yesterday, and my 200th ride is next!

We had cheese pizza, pizza with bacon, and pizza with hamburger meat. We also had 2 boxes of some plain wings (so hubby and I can dip in spicy sauce on our own). If you haven’t had Domino’s wings, they’re actually pretty good. And I wasn’t even paid to say that.

Since I had spicy sauce on the wings, I wanted to sip a wine that would compliment that flavor. It was mango habanero sauce, so I opened a bottle of Chateau Ste Michelle’s Gewurztraminer. It paired SO well with the wings; I devoured them.

The wine itself is kind of sweet to me. It has a light amount of acidity, very fruity on the palate and smells the same. It’s easy to drink with food as well as sip on its own. In fact, we I finished the bottle by wrapping up the last 2 episodes of The Ultimatum on Netflix. If you haven’t watched it, I don’t blame you; I was skeptical. BUT I will say it was entertaining and some of the ending was unexpected.

Not sure if I’ll be drinking tonight, but I’ll share it later if I do!
